Hot ‘N Honeyed Oriental Franks
Makes about 30-35 appetizers
INCREDIENTS
1 lb Zweigle’s midget cocktail franks or can use 1 package of skinless frank each frank cut into 1-inch diagonal slices
1/4 Picante Sauce
1/4 Cup honey
2 Tbls Soy Sauce
1 Tbls Dijon-Styl Mustard
1 Tbls Vegetable Oil
1 Teaspoon grated oragne peel
3/4 of a Tbls grated ginger(fresh is preferable if you have it)
METHOD
Combine Picante sauce, honey, soy sauce, mustard, oil, ginger and orange peel in small bowl; Mix well. Pour over franks. Cover and refrigerate for 6 hours or over night. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place Franks and sauce in a single layer foil-lined jelly-rolled pan. Bake 20-25 minutes or until brown. Serve warm in a bowl with additional picante sauce. Garnish as desired.
TIPS
For a spicer version add more Picante Sauce and adjust honey accordingly.
For a sweeter version add more honey and adjust Picante Sauce accordinly.

It all started in a small Rochester, NY neighborhood back in 1880. C. Whilehem Zweigle and his wife Josephine Zweigle started making homemade quality sausages in a small butcher shop. The sausages were so delicious that their reputation for great flavor and superior taste soon spread throughout the city.
In 1925, Zweigle’s introduced the first white hot dog, locally known as the “white hot.” It is the most unique product that people associate with the Zweigle’s name, and what the people in Rochester, NY now take pride in knowing the exclusivity of this product.
